Thornton Playgroup encourages preschoolers to build social skills by learning to interact with other kids. Playgroup provides an opportunity for kids to learn to share, develop friendships and have fun! Parents benefit from the support system created with other moms and dads of preschoolers.
Past activities include park playgroups, outings to wildlife refuges, area gymnasiums, factories, local water parks, and craft groups. Group trips have also been scheduled to Jump-Street Fun Center, Bowling, the WOW Museum, Construction Zone Event and Nemo on Ice. Group activities allow Thornton Playgroup members to attend events at discounted prices. Members also look forward to the many holiday parties each year, including Valentine's Day, Halloween Boo, Winterfest Tree Decortaing and Christmas Party as well as the annual Family Potluck Picnic.

Membership Information
Website: The Thornton Playgroup website is a password protected website. Members can log on to view and add information including events to the calendar, pictures of recent events, announcements and maps. The site is password protected in order to maintain member privacy and protect the children.
Age Group: Playgroups are designed for babies, toddlers and preschoolers, age 0-5 years.
Family: Younger siblings always welcome. Older siblings may come as long as it does not compromise the safety of the toddlers/preschoolers. Grandmas & Grandpas always welcome! Children must have a responsible adult present with them at all playgroup functions.
Thornton Playgroup is a member driven group. Questions, concerns and activity ideas are always welcome.
